How to Customize the Boot Logo & Startup Animation
— Android Boot Animation Customization Guide | SMATEK
SMATEK supports custom boot logo and boot animation for selected Android smart control panels and OEM/ODM projects.
If you would like to customize the startup screen of your SMATEK panel, please prepare your logo or animation files according to the specifications below. Our engineers will package the required firmware and apply the customization during firmware preparation.
Customization Limits
- Static boot logo: Display time up to 10 seconds
Boot animation: Duration up to 15 seconds
1. Static Boot Logo
Please provide your logo as a static image file.
Requirements:
- Common image formats are acceptable.
Image resolution should match the native screen resolution of the selected panel.
For best results, prepare the image at the exact display resolution.
2. Boot Animation
Please provide the animation as a sequence of frame-by-frame PNG images.
Requirements:
- Each frame should be provided as a separate PNG image.
PNG frame resolution should match the native screen resolution.
If the image resolution is smaller than the screen resolution, the animation will be displayed centered on the screen.
Maximum animation duration: 15 seconds.
Please keep the frame sequence in the correct order so our engineers can package the animation into the firmware.
3. Screen Resolution by Panel Model
Please prepare your boot logo or animation according to the native resolution of the selected model.

4. Recommended File Preparation
To avoid scaling or cropping during firmware integration, we recommend preparing the source files at the exact native resolution of the target panel.
Before submitting the files, please confirm:
- Target panel model
Screen resolution
Static logo or animation
Image dimensions
PNG frame sequence, if applicable
Required display or animation duration
For OEM projects, additional boot screen requirements can be discussed with our engineering team before firmware customization.
5. Firmware Customization
Once the required files and target panel model are confirmed, SMATEK engineers can package the customized boot logo or animation into the corresponding firmware.
