Model 1 — SMATEK Integrated KNX Solution

For customers looking for a ready-to-deploy KNX touch panel, SMATEK can provide the KNX stack, application software, HMI, and corresponding ETS engineering resources.

Typical workflow:

KNX Touch Panel → SMATEK KNX Stack → HMI → ETS6 → KNX Project

Model 2 — Customer-Owned KNX Software Platform

For customers that already have their own KNX software architecture, SMATEK provides the KNX TP1 hardware platform while the customer maintains control of the KNX stack and application layer.

Typical architecture:

Application Processor → KNX TP1 Interface → Customer KNX Stack → Customer Application / HMI

KNX TP1 Hardware Platform

Selected SMATEK platforms use the NCN5130 as the KNX TP1 interface.

A typical architecture combines:

Rockchip Processor (PX30 / RK3566 / RK3576) + NCN5130 KNX TP1 Interface + KNX TP1 Bus

The application processor handles the Android/Linux environment and customer application, while the NCN5130 provides the KNX TP1 physical interface.

The exact SoC, PCB design, BSP, drivers, APIs, and development resources depend on the selected platform and project requirements.

KNX Touch Panel Applications

SMATEK KNX touch panels can provide the HMI and visualization layer for KNX-based automation systems.

Depending on the selected KNX application, typical functions include:
